Carnaval San Francisco May 2025

April 16th 7-8pm Mandatory Zoom Orientation for all registered participants
Jan-May Middle School Enrichment Class for 6-8th graders at SFC
Feb-May Saturdays 11am-1pm Youth Dance / Teen & Adult Dance / Drumming & Stilting Rehearsals (in person at SF Community School)
April 10th, 2025 Last day to Register for sections
Float Visuals Community Build Days: TBD
No Rehearsal April 5th - Spring Break
Section Specific Planning: During live rehearsals in April
April 5 - May 24 every Saturday Full Comparsa Rehearsals (in person at SF Community School)
April 6th 5:30-8:30pm Fundraiser at Bissap Baobab Restaurant (Adults only)
Thursday May 13, 2025 Mandatory Volunteer Orientation (zoom)
May 15, Last day to register for Spirit Section
May 3rd All Ages Pupusa Fundraiser after rehearsal
May 18-24 Float Build Days (Location TBA)
Saturday May 24 Mandatory Dress Rehearsal (in person at SF Community School)
Sunday May 25, 2025 Carnaval Parade (in person on Bryant Street in the Mission)
Sunday May 25 Closing Ceremony and Party

Registration fee $25-50 for each person participating (sliding scale fee). Fees will be collected at rehearsals. Additional donations are welcome!
Costume fees due by March 15 ($40 for youth, $80 for adults - no one turned away due to funds)
Spirit Section receives a free T shirt with their registration fee.
